Frequented in equal parts by corporate executives and young L.A. thrill-seekers, the owners of Hotel Erwin’s had two specific requirements. First, they needed to match their 105-foot by 250-foot restroom with accessory systems that could efficiently service many people in a high-traffic location. A boutique hotel in the heart of Wrigleyville, Hotel Zachary at Gallagher Way is one of the most popular destinations in Chicago’s North Side.

When the hotel was built in 2018, it only had to look across the street to Wrigley Field for inspiration for its commercial restroom products. • Sloan's Optima® EAF-700 Sensor Faucets serve as a centerpiece that perfectly accents the vintage-inspired décor, mirror trims, and stall handlebars. The faucets’ custom Brushed Amber Gold finish adds richness and cohesion to the overall aesthetic as well.

The restrooms also incorporate Sloan's Royal® 111 ESS Flushometers with ST-2459 Wall-mounted Vitreous China Water Closets as well as Royal ESS Urinal Flushometers with SU-1009 Vitreous China Washdown Urinals. The exposed, sensor-operated flushometers offer a blend of modern minimalism and industrial aesthetics. The resort chose Sloan products as part of its ongoing strategy to conserve water across the entire facility. “With the renovation of Sloan equipment in our facilities, we have accomplished significant water savings, reducing the consumption in water closets from 1.6 to 1.0 gpf and the urinals from 1.2 to 0.6 gpf. Additionally, we have reduced our energy consumption with Sloan’s efficient hand dryers. All these changes allow us to be more eco-friendly while reducing expenses,” explained Quintero.

The Sloan WEUS 1000.1410-0.125 Urinal Combo’s low flush volume of 0.5 Lpf made it the perfect choice for the Cabo Azul Hotel, as water conservation was a key concern when selecting products for the renovation.
